Block Costs

The Block Costs worksheet in the Simulation Results Explorer displays the costs that accrued during the simulation time for each block.

Block Name: The name of each block in the diagram.
Total Cost: The total cost that accrued during the simulation time for each block, which is based on the task, crew and spare part pool costs.
CM Misc: The miscellaneous costs associated with corrective tasks that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the cost per task and downtime rate, specified in the Maintenance Task window.
CM Part: The cost for spare parts due to corrective tasks that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the direct cost per item as specified in the Spare Part Pool window, as well as any indirect costs (e.g., holding costs, costs associated with restocking, etc.).
CM Crew: The cost for crews due to corrective tasks that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the direct cost per unit time and cost per incident, as specified in the Crew window.
PM Misc: The miscellaneous costs associated with preventive tasks that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the cost per task and downtime rate, specified in the Maintenance Task window.
PM Part: The cost for spare parts due to preventive tasks that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the direct cost per item as specified in the Spare Part Pool window, as well as any indirect costs (e.g., holding costs, costs associated with restocking, etc.).
PM Crew: The cost for crews due to preventive tasks that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the direct cost per unit time and cost per incident, as specified in the Crew window.
OC Misc: The miscellaneous costs associated with on condition tasks that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the cost per task and downtime rate, specified in the Maintenance Task window.
OC Part: The cost for spare parts due to on condition tasks that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the direct cost per item as specified in the Spare Part Pool window, as well as any indirect costs (e.g., holding costs, costs associated with restocking, etc.).
OC Crew: The cost for crews due to on condition tasks that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the direct cost per unit time and cost per incident, as specified in the Crew window.
IN Misc: The miscellaneous costs associated with inspection tasks that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the cost per task and downtime rate, specified in the Maintenance Task window.
IN Crew: The cost for crews that accrued during the simulation time due to inspection tasks. This is based on the direct cost per unit time and cost per incident, as specified in the Crew window.
DT Cost: The costs associated with downtime that accrued during the simulation time. This is based on the block supplemental costs, as specified in the Block Properties window (i.e., the block's downtime multiplied by its downtime rate, and its number of failures multiplied by its cost per failure).
